Evan Logan

Director of Programs and Operations

Evan joins the Second Breath team as the Director of Operations and Programs. If programs are the head-heart-body of the organization, operations are the neurons making sure the head-heart-body are all talking to each other and functioning optimally. Evan aims to enhance efficacy, clarity, and depth within these core functions of the organization, bringing a dynamic mix of enthusiasm and creativity to her role.

Evan’s connection with Second Breath began in 2019 when she participated in Foundations 101 | Faith Reimagined: Christian Wisdom, Science, and You (then Inward Journey/SL1). This marked a pivotal moment in her personal and professional growth as she engaged the process of self-discovery through mindfulness, journaling, and the simple spiritual practice of getting still each morning before her children woke up for the day.

After and through this period of introspection, Evan discerned a call to continue her education and expand her business acumen. Evan completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in May 2023. This achievement underlined for her the desire to connect people, inspire lifelong learning, and empower individuals to realize their untapped potential.

Before completing her MBA and coming to Second Breath, Evan’s career has been rich and diverse. Armed with a degree in Music Therapy from Radford University, she brings experience from sales and marketing, music therapy, entrepreneurship in music education, and the profound journey of motherhood. These past personal and professional experiences have cultivated her spirit of courage, adventure, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Evan believes success is rooted in serving and helping others. Living out of and into this belief, Evan is dedicated to positively impacting the staff, participants, facilitators, board members, and the broader Second Breath community in any way she can.

Outside work, Evan is an avid runner (often found training for road races), an enthusiastic reader of historical fiction, a gardening enthusiast, and a nature lover, frequently hiking with her daughters, Lila and Amelia. Each of her mornings begins with a moment of stillness, accompanied by a cup of strong coffee. Among her favorite Second Breath practices is “Finding God in the Familiar,” which resonates with her approach to finding meaning in everyday life.
