SPRING 2024

Spiritual contemplation and community.

For over 30 years, Second Breath has been welcoming individuals of diverse faith traditions and no faith tradition to journey the path of contemplatives. We believe that you are wonderfully made – and our school is here to support you in living fully and freely.

In Spring 2024, join us for a workshop or course grounded in teachings from the spiritual mystics of the Christian Wisdom Tradition, and latest peer-reviewed scientific research to help you explore and expand the life you are living.

WORKSHOPS

Meditation in Motion: Marking the Spring Equinox on the Labyrinth
CLOSED SATURDAY, March 16, 2024 | Join us for this experiential workshop and cultivate the gifts of serenity, creative inspiration, and connection to Spirit. Explore the history of labyrinths and learn why they are the perfect container for meditative walking. Our time together will allow for periods of walking a painted canvas labyrinth and quiet reflection.
Sacred Creation: Savoring Food and Re-Examining Our Food Systems
CLOSED SATURDAY, March 23, 2024 | What if, instead of viewing food as a commodity that comes in a package, we viewed food as the incredible gift of aliveness that it is? In this half-day workshop, you’re invited to experience a paradigm shift in your relationship to food; one grounded in appreciation of Nature’s abundance, awareness of our role in the symbiotic relationship between Earth and human food systems, and reverence for the gift of aliveness food can offer. This workshop is facilitated by Rev. Susan Gladin, founder of Down Yonder Farm.
Eastern Modalities: Exploring the Practice of Reiki
CLOSED SATURDAY, April 13, 2024 | Research shows that ancient practice of reiki activates the parasympathetic nervous system to support physical and emotional wellness. This workshop is for those curious to explore Eastern modalities and in need of restorative care. It’s offered freely by Second Breath alumna Beverly Vaughan, PhD.
