Get out a piece of paper and draw two columns.
On the left side put the words:“POWER OVER.” This section has the quality of energy that includes coercion and compliance.
On the right side put the words “POWER WITH.” This column has the quality of energy that includes collaboration and partnership.
List words that capture the respective essence of both under each column. Now nominate and write down the names of people who “fit” under each column.
Below these column descriptors, write your own name and underline it. Write down where and with whom you have exercised both types of power.
